When a journalist is murdered while talking with a prime minister, everyone initially believes it’s an assassination attempt. What is really going on during FBI season 8 episode 8?

We still have a couple weeks of new episodes of FBI as we close in on the end of the year. Next Monday will mark the two-part fall finale, and then we’re in for a long wait until the winter premiere. However, let’s not dwell on that, as we have a great episode coming up.

Isobel is back in her office. After Jubal was passed over and Isobel saw what could become of her if she took the promotion, she decided that it wasn’t worth the pay bump. Her team needed her, and she needed the job that she currently had. So, now we have the team all back together as normal, and it’s time to see what they do.

What time is FBI season 8 episode 8 on CBS?

The new episode will air at 9 p.m. ET/PT on Monday, Dec. 8. This has become the usual time, although there’s still part of me that thinks the show should air on Tuesdays. After seven years, it’s hard to think of this show fitting on a Monday night.

You can watch CBS in various ways, including via your regular cable package. Then there are the options of YouTube TV and Fubo TV if you’ve cut the cord.

But what if you do prefer to watch on a Tuesday? Well, you can stream FBI on Paramount+. Episodes drop around 3 a.m. ET/12 a.m. PT the day after a new episode air on CBS. So, you can catch this episode on Tuesday, Dec. 9.

What to expect on FBI season 8 episode 8

The episode starts with a journalist killed while interviewing a prime minister, and initially, it looks like it could be an assassination attempt. However, there’s something bigger going on, when it turns out that the journalist was likely the target.

When a journalist is shot while interviewing a prime minister, all fingers point to an assassination attempt; OA struggles to let Gemma in on the dangers of his job.

She has been working on an important story that is also dangerous. Of course, someone didn’t want the truth getting out there, but she wasn’t willing not to report on the story, even if it meant putting her life on the line. She made the ultimate sacrifice, and now it’s up to the New York Field Office to get to the bottom of the story and the truth.

We also get to see more of OA's personal life, as Gemma is back in the story. OA is worried about letting her know about how dangerous his job is, and this case with the journalist likely isn't going to help with his fears in telling her. The problem is that she needs to know so that she can prepare for the worst.

FBI airs on Mondays at 9/8c on CBS.
