With the holidays fast approaching, most people are out shopping and planning their events. The New York Field Office gets to deal with an attack on Lower Manhattan on the FBI season 8 fall finale.
Now, this is a two-hour finale, and both episodes air on the same night. To make this possible, FBI is moving to an hour earlier, so you’ll need to tune in at 8 p.m. ET/PT and watch through to the regular time slot.
It’s a major episode that seems to start with a normal case, but ends up being much bigger and far more dangerous than anything else this season.

An attack on Lower Manhattan on FBI season 8 episode 9
The first hour of the night will focus on the murders of three sex workers. It seems to be a regular case for the team, but then it turns out to be something far bigger. It turns out that this murderer has a much bigger plan in place, and it looks to be a lone wolf attack.
Meanwhile, we’ll get to see Tyler again, as Jubal gets a concerning call. There is an image of the two meeting in a diner, but we know that when work comes calling, Jubal puts that first. In a way, that is the right thing to do when New York is under attack, but his son also needs him.
What’s not clear is when the explosion hits the city. As FBI likely didn’t know if they’d get a two-hour block on one night, there’s a chance that the explosion hits right at the end of the episode. This would have made a major cliffhanger had the episode been split over two weeks, which would have happened had it not been for the Everybody Loves Raymond reunion special.

It’s not a lone wolf on FBI season 8 episode 10
In the second hour, the team realizes that this isn’t a lone wolf acting alone. This is a much bigger attack on the city, with cell, internet, and emergency services disrupted. Now the team has a much bigger problem, as the city is thrown into chaos, and we all know civilians don’t handle chaos well.

There’s a radical group that wants to reset society. The best way to do that is cause mass disruption on the city. After all, take out power and internet, and people need to go back to what they used to do because everything was at their fingertips.
