The M&A team get a case in an usual way in Found season 2, episode 14. They have to work it without Sir.

Caution: This post contains SPOILERS for Found season 2, episode 14.

Gabi struggles to shut Sir out of her mind completely. When he calls during the episode, she hangs up, but she doesn’t take the opportunity to block his calls from the prison completely. This does play with Sir’s mind, at least. However, Gabi needs help, and she needs a therapist who knows about the whole Sir thing. That means Ethan. By the end, he realizes that Gabi is too fascinating not to treat.

Zeke gets the case from a 911 dispatcher in Found season 2, episode 14

Zeke and Lacey are getting ready for a movie night with Dhan and Ethan. They’re running late, which gives Shelly, a 911 dispatcher, time to call Zeke. She needs help. She got a call through that initially sounded like a butt dial but has some sort of sound in the background. Zeke can clean up the audio to find out that there is definitely someone asking for help on the other side.

Shelly couldn’t go through the official channels with this. She has a history of overreacting on calls, and she’s on her last warning. However, with the cleaned up audio, Zeke can pass it to Gabi, who can pass it to Trent. This becomes an official case.

There’s a catch with this one, though. There can’t be a press conference, as that would hint to the kidnapper that the cops know she’s been taken. Whoever took her didn’t know she also had a burner phone, which was given to her by her dad.

Zuri’s dad has a history of violence (sort of)

Gabi wants to talk to the missing girl’s, Zuri, dad. He was a Navy judge who was demoted for punching an officer. There is always more to the story, though. Zuri’s dad explains that the officer wasn’t taking no for an answer with a woman, and the dad justified his actions. He also didn’t fight his demotion, because he knew he deserved it.

When it came to his court, everyone coming in knew that he would be strict. As Dhan realized that someone had been watching Zuri for some time, it was clear that it was someone connected to a case Zuri’s dad had overseen. It had to be someone close to Zuri but not close enough to know that Zuri had a burner phone.

However, none of the names connected to anyone connected to Zuri. It meant someone had to be using a fake name. Jamie shared that people use other names that are connected to their own to make the lie easier, so look for that. Peyton and Riley, Zuri’s roommates, would be the most likely suspects, and Zuri’s dad points out that he’s never heard of Riley.

That’s because Riley isn’t really Riley. That’s one of her middle names, and she was found guilty of drug trafficking charges. She nearly got away with it until a psych eval showed her as a narcissist and master manipulator. That was when Zuri’s dad came down hard. Of course, as a narcissist, she wouldn’t be able to accept that, so she took Zuri as revenge.

The M&A Team had to figure out where Zuri was in Found

This was all great, but it didn’t help them find Zuri. During a call Zuri was able to make from her burner phone, she shared that there was traffic underground, it was earthy, and there was concrete. Where was she?

With Riley’s real name, the team was able to connect her to a location. That was where Zuri would be held. Sure enough, Riley was about to kill Zuri when Trent and Gabi got in.

The M&A Team saves the day again.

Jamie breaks into Gabi’s drawer in Found

Jamie continues to do a lot of shady things. In this episode, he breaks into Gabi’s draw to get a note in there. Dhan catches him, though, and he finds the note. Dhan is done with this boy being in here and not respecting boundaries.

It’s clear that he’s up to something. Margaret offers to step away, but that’s not going to help other people. Instead, Jamie can only stay if he remains in the lobby or the conference room.

Jamie decides that he will take that boundary, but he wants to take Margaret back to the bus station. There are hints that he’s been watching for some time. He also knows who took him, but he won’t share who it is. This is a piece of the puzzle that Margaret needs. She and Gabi have been looking through everything to figure out who was in her house.

At least the M&A Team can now be on it, though. Margaret decides that it is time to share the train with the rest of the team. The problem is the train is taking everyone away from figuring out if Jamie is who he says he is. This focus is now on who took him.

Whoever it was clearly watched Margaret in the days after Jamie went missing. We get a flashback of the press conference Margaret and her husband did to call out for help or for Jamie to come home if he can. Outside, someone is watching, holding onto the train.

I guess there is a small moment that suggest that Jamie is who he says he is. Margaret remembers that Jamie said people use a middle name if they’re using a fake name. Margaret calls out Jamie’s middle name, Nicholas, and he turns around to look as he leaves her. Does this mean he is Jamie? I’m still not convinced.

Sir wants to get Gabi’s attention

Sir is spiralling a little. When Gabi refuses to answer his call, he decides to find another way to get her attention. He lets a guard beat him to a pulp.

He’s hopeful that Gabi has come to check on him at the end, but it’s not Gabi. It’s Trent, who makes it clear that Gabi isn’t coming. He has lost control over her now.

Oh, and yes, there is a line in the episode that confirms Christian was found dead. The autopsy results are in and they’re consistent with suicide, but do any of us really think he killed himself? Not at all. Who killed him, though, because I don’t think it was Sir.

Found airs on Thursdays at 10/9c on NBC. Catch up the following day on Peacock.
