Connor and Brett are a little too chummy in this Grosse Pointe Garden Society sneak peek. There has to be more to this scene.

When your enemy offers something good, it usually comes with strings attached. However, that doesn’t seem to be the case in Grosse Pointe Garden Society. At least, not any terrible strings. This sneak peek into the new episode makes us wonder what Connor is really up to, though.

Up to this point in Grosse Pointe Garden Society, Connor has proven to us how manipulative he can be. He wants people to love him, and he also wants to move to Chicago to gain a big promotion. The problem is that his wife’s ex-husband, Brett, is making that move hard due to custody. So, Connor wants his wife, Nora, to get full custody.

Connor has tried to be problematic and sneaky, but now he seems to be playing the friend. This is sure to get details that he needs for Nora to be able to use against Brett, and it makes me worried about what Brett is thinking in the new sneak peek for Grosse Pointe Garden Society season 1, episode 8.

Is Connor setting a stage in Grosse Pointe Garden Society season 1, episode 8?

The clip starts with Connor and Brett at a bar. It’s clear that Brett’s business is doing well, and if it wasn’t for Connor giving Brett the money he needed to get started, this wouldn’t have been possible. Brett is starting to see that there could be a good side to the man who managed to win his wife over.

However, we know that Connor has a private eye following Brett. Brett doesn’t know at this point in the timeline, but he does find out in the post-murder timeline. We also know that Connor likes to set up situations to make him look like the good guy.

What about setting up situations to make him look like the victim? I wouldn’t put that past him, so when two guys from work walk in and clearly don’t want to be anywhere near Connor, I can’t help but wonder if there is more to this whole situation. Is it all to lead Brett into a false sense of security that Connor isn’t as great off as he seems?

Take a look at the sneak peek for Grosse Pointe Garden Society season 1, episode 8:

Brett thinks he has Connor all wrong, but we don’t think he should trust the man all that much right now.
