While our not-quite-murderous four have been trying to figure out how to get away with it all in Grosse Pointe Garden Society, there has also been a focus on family. Birdie has spent time reconnecting with the son she gave up for adoption, and while Ford didn't initially take the news all that well, he did eventually accept that maybe she did the right thing.
Now the two are on friendlier terms, and Birdie is ready to start making some memories. She's going to need to considering she may be going to jail for decades. After all, she's not quite gotten away with covering up a death just yet!
Grosse Pointe Garden Society season 1 finale sneak peek shows family bonding
We have a sneak peek for the Grosse Pointe Garden Society season 1 finale, and it focuses on Birdie and Ford. It turns out that with his full ride to college, he gets a lot more. There's access to a free gym and a nutritionist. Oh, the irony of him eating a sweet treat as he shares that he has no idea what a nutritionist is but he likes the idea of it.
Birdie just watches with a smile. This is what she is here for; making these cute memories, and she ends it all by asking to take a selfie.
During the penultimate episode, Ford did come across Birdie and Catherine at the gas station, and he brings that up in this sneak peek. As Birdie says, she may not be around for long, he questions whether it's due to her stealing the car. Birdie isn't about to incriminate herself, but she doesn't want to lie to him, either.
"How did you get so smart?" she asks.
"Genetics."
And you just know that he is talking about Birdie and not the dad he doesn't know. These two have come a long way, and Ford shows in this sneak peek just how much he actually respects and likes her. While so many in the town have likely written Birdie off as a dumb rich woman, she does often have a smart head on her shoulders. She's just not the book smart that you would initially think is the definition of smart.
