We’re not quite ready for the High Potential season 1 finale, especially not after watching the promo. Take a look at what to expect in the new episode.
The good news going into this season finale is that we know it is only a season finale. High Potential scored a season 2 renewal in January 2025, and we are all ecstatic about it. The show deserves the second season considering it’s fun and quirky storytelling while also bringing some intriguing cases to work out.
The last case is going to be darker than any of the others. How will Morgan keep it light with her quips? I guess we’ll need to wait and see.
A killer wants to play a game in High Potential season 1, episode 13
The episode will see the LAPD tasked with playing some games. It’s the only way to get to the bottom of where victims are, and it looks like one of them is going to be on of LAPD’s own. Oz is spotted in the promo being knocked out by his car’s airbag going off. The killer is there waiting for him. Will the LAPD be able to save him in time? Things aren’t looking great at a later point of the promo.
Morgan will need to work fast on putting clues together. She literally has to put a jigsaw puzzle together, which is surely only going to take a minute. Then she can work on the other games that come through.
There’s certainly an old-school CSI vibe to this story. Anyone else remember the dollhouse storyline that involved Grissom? He was sent miniatures of the various crime scenes that he was working, making it clear that all the cases were connected. He needed to work the clues to get to the bottom of it all.
It’s going to be all hands on deck. The captain is sure to be happy that he decided to allow the “cleaning lady experiment” to continue after the murder mystery at the house a couple of episodes ago!
Check out the promo and synopsis for High Potential season 1, episode 13:
"An anonymous tip to the LAPD sparks an unusual multiple-victim kidnapping investigation, forcing the team to rely on board games and puzzles to track down their suspect."
High Potential airs on Tuesdays at 9/8c on ABC. Catch up the following day on Hulu.
