The new boss is in the building, and he’s sure to cause trouble. The promo for High Potential season 2, episode 5 makes it clear that he wants to know more about the former cleaning lady.
At the end of High Potential season 2, episode 4, Soto learned that she was being passed over for the captain job. Instead, Nick Wagner will take on the role, and he had a small run-in with Morgan Gillory. Of course, he knew exactly who she was, making it clear that he does his homework.
Now the question is whether he wants to keep her around, or if he’s going to find a way to get rid of her. After all, most new bosses would want to get rid of her before realizing what type of asset she is.
Wagner is after information in High Potential season 2, episode 5
It’s clear from the promo that Wagner wants to know more about Morgan. However, I will say that he probably isn’t grilling Karadec and Oz in the actual scene. When you look at the promo, it’s cut from Wagner’s office to an interrogation room, suggesting that Karadec and Oz are actually interrogating a suspect during the episode in that scene.
Out of all the people Wagner is likely speaking with, it’s Soto. She’s the one who hired Morgan as a consultant. It’s also possible that he’s decided to talk to the guy from Internal Affairs, who we met in the previous episode.
Either way, he’s looking for information, and he probably won’t stop at anything to get it. He’s not alone, though, as Morgan wants the dirt on Wagner as well.
A case involving a journalist and social media
Meanwhile, the Major Crimes unit will have a case to crack. An investigative journalist has been murdered, while she was undercover as a social media influencer. This could be an episode that sees Ava helping out a little, as she is all in when it comes to fashion and social media.
What is clear is that there are a group of influencers at a house, and this is likely where the murder happened. Now the team will need to figure out what happened that led to this investigative journalist being murdered and then her body dumped in the water.
Ava does have other things on her mind, though. Despite realizing that getting information hurt her more than not knowing anything, she’s decided to do more digging into Roman’s disappearance. Will she speak with Arthur?
