Things are about to get a little creepy and potentially haunted for Morgan, Karadec, and the rest of the Major Crimes team. It’s all about a Halloween-fueled episode of High Potential.
This could suggest that we won’t get an episode during Halloween week, as we usually get the Halloween-themed episodes then. We’ll be keeping an eye on that, but for now, let’s just get excited about the creepy episode that we’re sure to get. Do Morgan and Karadec believe in ghosts?
A trip to a Victorian mansion in High Potential season 2, episode 6
The episode takes the team to a Victorian mansion, where a wealthy lawyer has been found dead. Of course, there are rumors that the place is haunted. Isn’t that always the case with Victorian mansions? They’ve been around for so long, that they just seem like the perfect place to set up ghostly stories.
This one is personal for the deceased, as well. It turns out that he was married twice, with one of those wives passing away. I’m presuming that the death was in the house, and that’s why the ghost is always there.
This does feel like it’s going to get a bit Scooby-Doo, in the sense that it’s going to be a man in a costume. I would love for the show to go all Mystery Inc. as well, with the big reveal at the end with the team surrounding the murderer and pulling off the mask. Hey, just give me something a little fun like that for Halloween.
Elliot is dealing with the tensions at home
We’re not seeing as much of Ludo this season as we did last, and that’s due to Taran Killam being off filming Stumble for NBC. It means that someone else needs to play mediator in the house, and that will fall on Elliot.
Morgan and Ava are struggling to see eye-to-eye. Ava wants to be a part of the search for her dad, despite saying just two episodes ago that she regrets asking for information. I get it, though. She’s a teenager and doesn’t quite know her own mind.
I understand Morgan’s need to protect her, but she also has to accept that Ava is going to look anyway. It’s best to do it with her rather than behind her back. It’s setting up for some excellent tensions as the search for Roman intensifies in High Potential season 2.
