After dealing with a haunted house, Morgan and Karadec now need to solve an art crime. They’ll get some help in High Potential season 2, episode 7.
There is some bad news that comes with the preview of this episode. It marks the fall finale, which means High Potential is heading into a break much sooner than we would like. However, it does mean more episodes on the other side of the winter break, which will be when Will Trent and The Rookie premiere their new seasons.
High Potential will have 18 episodes this season, and this marks the seventh. We get many more on the other side of the winter break than we did during season 1, which means we can get into the spring and see the next summer hiatus be much shorter! Yes, we’re sure High Potential will still be renewed for season 3.

It’s all about an art heist in High Potential season 2, episode 7
It looks like the episode won’t involve a murder for once, and that makes sense. They are Major Crimes and not Homicide after all. Why do all their crimes end up involving murder? Well, this time, it’s all about an art heist, and there’s a Rembrandt worth $20m somewhere out there in the world.
This means they need to work with someone else. An art heist specialist gets a call about a potential location, and he teams up with the Major Crimes unit to get to the bottom of it.
Why do I get the feeling that this guy is going to turn out to be a villain? There’s something too suave about him, and it’s nothing to do with the fact that he works in art crimes. The car he drives and the way he quickly hooks up with Morgan—sorry, Morgan-Karadec, shippers, it’s not Karadec—tells me that he’s up to something.

Soto has her own mystery to unravel
The High Potential season 2 fall finale is sure to hit on something big with the Roman mystery. It has to, right? We’ve gone seven episodes getting just a little bit closer to figuring out what happened to him and learning that he didn’t exactly just disappear. He was there for some important moments, even if it was in the shadows.
Well, Soto has some of the information from Roman’s backpack, and she’s determined to get to the bottom of this mystery. I get a feeling that we’ll find out where Roman is for real this time, but that we’ll have to wait until the High Potential season 2 winter premiere to get some real answers. It’ll make for a good cliffhanger going into the winter break.
