How many episodes are in Lockerbie: A Search for the Truth?

Lockerbie: A Search for the Truth will bring us the story of a search for answers in the wake of the Lockerbie Bombing in 1988. How many episodes are in the limited series, and how will they be released?

Lockerbie: A Search for the Truth drops on Peacock at the start of January. This is not a series you’ll want to miss.

The Lockerbie Air Disaster, also known as the Lockerbie Bombing, is still an event that sits on the minds of people in the UK. It killed more than 250 people, including those on the plane and 11 residents in the sleepy Scottish town of Lockerbie.

It took time for an investigation to happen, with it eventually coming out that it was a terrorist attack. Lockerbie: A Search for the Truth follows the story of how the families of the victims got their answers, with Colin Firth playing Dr. Jim Swire, a man who lost his daughter in the attack.

Lockerbie: A Search for the Truth is a limited series

Due to the nature of the story, Lockerbie: A Search for the Truth is a limited series. There’s no need to go further than the search for answers and finally getting them. This isn’t a drama where we follow the lives of people afterward. This is a dramatized story of some very real and horrific events.

There are five episodes in the series to tell the story. It’s a relatively short series, but it matches the lengths that we’ve come to expect for both British shows and streaming shows—and this is both.

How is Lockerbie: A Search for the Truth released?

Peacock has a mixed way of release TV shows. Some are released as a binge-watch, while others get a weekly release. What’s the case for this show?

Lockerbie: A Search for the Truth will be a binge-watch release. I do recommend spacing out the episodes as some of them do get a little heavy, especially with the truthful topic of the series. However, you’ll find yourself glued to the screen with Firth’s portrayal of a man looking for answers about his daughter’s death.

Lockerbie: A Search for the Truth is coming to Peacock on Thursday, Jan. 2.
