Are you ready for a murder mystery with a supernatural twist? If so, then you need to watch Revival, which will premiere this week on Syfy.
Wynonna Earp’s Melanie Scrofano takes on the lead as Dana Cypress, a cop and single mom who is dealing with something huge: the dead have come back to life. One of those is a murder victim, and now she gets to work with the victim to get to the bottom of the murder. The question is whether it was one of the living or dead who committed the crime.
Revival episode count
As a summer Syfy series — and as a Syfy series as a whole — it shouldn’t be surprising to hear that this series will get not what is traditionally considered a full season. No, there aren’t the 18-22 episodes to the story, but there will be just the right amount for this series.
Revival will consist of 10 one-hour episodes, and they’ll be released weekly on Syfy. Get ready for this supernatural crime drama to take over your Thursday nights!

If you happen to miss the episodes live, you’ll be able to watch on Peacock in the United States. However, the episodes will only go to Peacock a week after they’re released on Syfy.
In Canada? There’s great news! You’ll be able to watch on the CTV App and on Crave the day after the episodes air on CTV Sci-Fi Channel.
It’s more than another zombie series
This show initially sounds like yet another zombie series with a crime drama twist, right? Well, Revival is more than that, as there are some very human elements thrown in. The people brought back to life act as they did before they died. They have all the same memories and personalities. If nobody had known they’d died, then they would probably be able to pass for the living.
However, the living aren’t too sure what to make of this phenomenon. That’s leading to segregation, because don’t we all “other” people who aren’t like us? It’s an important topic of the show, especially as it comes to children and the fact that none of the dead have had a choice but to come back to life. This is sure to make you think about what you’d do if this really happened.
