Is vigilante justice ever a good thing? It looks like this is something Law & Order season 24, episode 10 will delve into.
After coming back from its winter break, Law & Order gets a guest star we can’t overlook. Mekhi Phifer will guest star as a man who may have been the one to get vigilante justice.
The promo also tell us that this episode has a director you won’t want to overlook. Eriq La Salle directed this episode that is sure to raise a lot of questions about vigilante justice.
Is it a case of vigilante justice in Law & Order season 24, episode 10
The promo sees Phifer’s character locked up for potentially killing a man. This wasn’t for a bad reason, though. Lt. Brady is quick to point out that Phifer’s character’s daughter was being pimped out by the victim. Even Maroun is eager to share that the victim was a monster. Could this have been a justified killing?
Price shares on the stand that people don’t get to kill a person who is considered vile and a monster. Vigilante justice isn’t alright.
This is going to make for an interesting debate, though. It’s surely going to be a debate among the various people within the precinct and the DA’s office. After all, many of those who are working on the right side of the law are in it because they want to bring justice. They all know that justice doesn’t often happen, though. There are all sorts of issues within the legal system that prevent justice from prevailing, and that leads to vigilantism around the world.
We see this on a day-to-day basis in the real world. Law & Order is a series that is ripped from the headlines, so it makes sense to bring something like this into the story.
