Law & Order season 24, episode 5 brings us an episode that is sure to make us all think. The promo certainly does.
Rockmund Dunbar guest stars in the latest episode. He’ll play the high school principal of a school that ends up coming under fire. As the adult, is he responsible for a shooting done by one of his students? That’s certainly possible when you consider the details.
The death of a teacher in Law & Order season 24, episode 5
The promo opens with the incident. It tells us that a student shot his own teacher at point-blank range. There is no defense for this, is there? Price doesn’t seem to think there is, but others may find something that changes that thought process.
It turns out that the high school principal saw the student with the gun. He did nothing to get the boy help or to even confiscate the weapon. Is it possible that his lack of action led to the death of one of his members of staff? Could that put him at fault in this entire situation?
Price and Maroun need to put the school’s policies on trial. After all, the age of the suspect is going to cause problems for everyone else.
Meanwhile, Shaw will try to connect with a suspect. It’s not clear if this is the boy or the principal, but whichever it is, it’s going to backfire. Is this going to lead to more problems for Price and Maroun when it comes to getting a guilty verdict?
