Can Benson save a life in Law & Order: SVU season 26, episode 6? (Preview)
Benson will always do everything she can to protect the victims in a case. Could that include finding a way to save a life in Law & Order: SVU season 26, episode 6?
Benson and her team will be called out to a case at a campsite. A couple has been attacked, with the girl left in a coma. When the boyfriend doesn’t remember anything, Benson needs to hope that the girl wakes up.
This is where there’s a twist. The girl’s mom (I’m assuming mom) tells Benson that the doctors are going to take her off life support. However, the mom is sure that her daughter is still in there somewhere. So, it’s up to Benson to figure out a way to save her life.
Can the girl respond in Law & Order: SVU season 26, episode 6?
We see Benson sat by the girl’s bedside and holding her hand. She’s asking questions when the girl’s hand twitches. Now, this could just be a muscular response. They happen, even for people in comas. That doesn’t mean that a person is actually communicating.
However, it could also mean that the girl is responsive in some way. In Brilliant Minds, everyone thought the John Doe patient was in a coma. That was until he twitched and there was other movement. He has locked-in syndrome. Is it possible that’s what has happened here in Law & Order: SVU?
The team have their work cut out for them, though. The suspect in this attack could be anywhere along the eastern seabord. How can you track someone down like that? Bruno and Silva think that they may have something, but it involves thinking outside the box. At this point, I’d say there are no crazy ideas, so let’s run with it!
