Matlock season 2 episode 8 marks the last episode of 2025, and it will see Olympia and Matty against each other. Once again!
Okay, I’ll admit that this back and forth between Matty and Olympia is getting annoying. Pick a side and stick with it, because it’s overshadowing so many other storylines. I get why Olympia isn’t too sure, but at some point, she has to make a choice.
Mysteries start to come to light on Matlock season 2 episode 8
It seems like the case of the week is going to have a knock-on effect with everyone else. Secrets are coming to light, and the promo hints that it’s got something to do with the Wellbrexa study that Matty is looking at. Is it Matty who can’t be trusted or Olympia, considering she has a faked document to help trick Matty and Julian!
It seems like Sarah is struggling with some sort of secret going on in the workplace, and that could be linked to the Wellbrexa document. It is time for her to find out some of the truth, and she could understand Matty’s actions when she learns the full truth.
However, I do wonder if Sarah’s storyline is actually linked to the real-life happenings on the set. The way that Sarah says that secrets need to come out suggests that she’s faced some sort of sexual assault. The show needs to find a way to permanently write Billy’s character out, and this could be an option.
Edwin and Matty have other issues to deal with
While Edwin is questioning whether Olympia trusts them or not, there is another situation for the two of them. They need to deal with Joey’s sister, who seems to want to meet with them. I get this, especially as Joey is trying to prove that he is worthy of being in Alfie’s life. The problem is he’s lied about being clean.
So, will Joey’s sister want to put in a good word for him, or could it turn out that she is on the side of not having Joey in Alfie’s life? Edwin and Matty need to decide what the best choice is, and is that meeting Joey’s sister?

This is the Matlock season 2 fall finale. The show is going on a break earlier than the other Thursday shows, but only by a week. It’ll be back in February with all-new episodes!
