Odeya Rush will play a key role in Memory of a Killer

Rush, who was last seen in Dangerous Waters, will play Maria, the daughter of the hitman Angelo (who is played by Grey’s Anatomy’s Patrick Dempsey. Maria married young and is currently pregnant, making it seem like all she wants is a quiet life. However, as something stirs in her, it’s clear that she really is her father’s daughter.

You see, her dad was a hitman in the past. He’s always lived a dangerous double life. While Maria may never have known some of this, there is the need for adventure in her, but she’s already living a dangerous life without realizing it. Just being close to her dad could lead to trouble.

What is Memory of a Killer about?

The series follows Angelo, who is a hitman, and that should be deadly enough. He has a dark secret that is sure to ruin everything. He’s suffering from early-onset Alzheimer’s, and now his mind is faltering, and that leads to secrets coming out and not necessarily remembering who the real threats are out there.

Angelo is everything to Maria, and she wants to spend time with her dad while she still can. As his mind falters, she is there to help pick up the pieces and care for him. How much can she care for him when she’s also learning about his double life? What will she think as she learns the truth?

The series is based on the 2003 Belgian thriller De Zaak Alzheimer (La Memoire Du Tueur). It is set for the midseason on FOX, which can mean a premiere in January or as late as March. This could replace The Cleaning Lady or Alert: Missing Persons Unit in the schedule, which were both canceled in the 2024-2025 TV season.

Michael Imperioli and Richard Harmon have both been cast in series regular roles as well. Imperioli will play Dutch, who works with Angelo. Meanwhile, Harmon will play Joe, a hitman on the rise who is learning from Angelo and Dutch, who ends up with a lot of the grunt work that puts him in the prime position to watch Angelo’s decline.
