Now that the Winter Olympics are over, fans are ready to watch new episodes of their favorite shows that have been on hiatus. While some networks have already begun airing new episodes of their shows in January, CBS opted to wait until after the Olympic Games to bring new episodes of television back on schedule. However, at least some shows are not back on air yet, including the NCIS shows.
Even though the rest of the week will see other shows airing new episodes, there is a break from this on Tuesday, February 24. No new television episodes are airing due to the State of the Union Address. This means NCIS fans will have to wait until March to watch their shows, which have been off air since December.

Instead of a new episode of NCIS, a rerun is taking its place at 8/7c before the State of the Union address has aired. The episode “Heaven and Nature,” which was the season 23 winter finale, will air instead. It may have been the Christmas episode, but it also reintroduced a familiar face, former Agent Eleanor Bishop (Emily Wickersham).
Bishop was last seen in Season 18 when she left for a covert operation, but she is back. Agent Jessica Knight (Katrina Law) has been tasked with a special mission from NCIS: Elite to track Bishop down for cyber-terrorism. Bishop appeared briefly at the end of “Heaven and Nature” as she watched the team in secret. Preview photos have shown her going to see Torres, likely asking for help, which will bring the two together after five years.
The episode, titled “Her,” will air on Tuesday, March 3, instead at 8/7c.

There won’t be any reruns of NCIS: Origins, but the episodes are available to stream if you want a catch up of what happened during the midseason winter finale for season 2. To recap, Gibbs and Diane got married in Las Vegas and the episode ended on a cliffhanger involving someone who lives at the compound where Mike Franks’s brother, Mason, resides.
The next new episode, “Fools Rush In,” will not only follow Gibbs’s team’s reaction, but also how the newlyweds decide on their future. Plus, the team will investigate the bombing at the movie theater, which likely will lead to more tension between Mike and his brother, depending on whether the perpetrator acted alone or under orders. That episode is also set to air on March 3 at 9/8c.

Just like its predecessors, NCIS: Sydney will also not have a new episode airing until March 3 at 10/9c. The episode “South of Nowhere” will see the Australian team going to Antarctica to look into why a climate scientist killed a fellow colleague. They will have to investigate quickly since the murder took place before polar night, which is when the sun does not go above the horizon for a full 24 hours.
Originally, the episode of Sydney was supposed to be the show’s winter finale, but the episode was pulled to air at a later date. It was likely because there was an attack in Australia around the time the episode was set to air, so the network elected to pull it before releasing it later on. At least if there is a cliffhanger, fans won’t have to wait long before a new episode returns.
So even though no new episodes of the NCIS franchise will be airing until the first week of March, you can still catch up on any episodes you missed streaming on Paramount+.
