NCIS: Origins won't air on CBS tonight (here's why and when it will return)
CBS is bringing its first break to its Monday night lineup. There isn’t a new episode of NCIS: Origins on tonight, Monday, Nov. 18.
In fact, there isn’t even a rerun on tonight. While the other CBS shows will air reruns, the network has opted for a slight change to the last hour of the night. We’ll start with a rerun of comedy series The Neighborhood and then there will be a look at behind the scenes of Gladiator II. It’s all about The Making of Gladiator II.
Why isn’t a new episode of NCIS: Origins on tonight?
What’s with the break? Well, considering NCIS: Origins has landed a full-season order, this isn’t something negative for the series. Instead, it’s likely linked to scheduling purposes.
There aren’t enough episodes to fill every single week of the TV schedule between September and May. So, the networks need to put in breaks here and there. This is probably all that is as there isn’t anything big happening on other networks to justify the decision.
If you want to watch an episode of the Young Gibbs prequel series, you’ll need to turn to Paramount+. All episodes so far are available there to stream.
When will NCIS: Origins return with new episodes?
In some good news, this break is only for a week. We’ll get a new episode of the series on Monday, Nov. 25.
There are no details of what to expect at the time of writing this. We’ll get details closer to the time.
There will be another break coming up soon. We’re getting in the fall finale period, with CBS usually opting for the fall finales around the beginning of December. CBS hasn’t confirmed dates just yet, but we’ll be keeping an eye on that for you.
NCIS: Origins airs Mondays at 10/9c on CBS. Catch up the following day on Paramount+.
