Much of NCIS: Origins so far has been focused on Gibbs. That’s understandable, but it’s clear that each member of the team has their own past and their own story to tell.
It’s time to dive into Mike Franks a little more in NCIS: Origins season 1, episode 5. Did he pull Gibbs into the team because he personally gets what Gibbs is going through?
A case of a missing girl in NCIS: Origins season 1, episode 5
There isn’t much to work with about the episode at the time of writing this. Despite bringing out a promo, CBS didn’t release a synopsis for the new episode. Yet, it’s clear that this one is personal to Mike Franks.
The case involves a missing woman, but this is from the past. The body was never found, and that means families don’t get closure. Yet, the man who presumably killed her is on Death Row, and he will be executed in two days. All Franks wants is for this man to share where he buried the body.
The problem when you have a murderer on Death Row is that they have nothing to lose. It’s not like their execution will be delayed to get answers. It’s a game to a lot of these people, and Franks has played right into it. This man wants Franks mad. He’ll get joy from it.
Now that we are five episodes into the series, it is time to figure out who the other characters are. We’ll get to understand just what Franks saw in Gibbs based on his own experiences in this episode, I suspect.
