We’ve always known that Franks and Gibbs have history. It’s time to see how far that history really goes back in NCIS: Origins season 1, episode 7.
Gibbs joining Franks’s team was not the first time the two met. That was clear even without anything being said, and many have wondered what that first meeting was like. The series is about to get into that with the new episode.
We come off the back of a week off. There are just a handful of episodes left of 2024 before the series goes on its winter break. It’s time for a big one this week.
How Gibbs and Franks met in NCIS: Origins season 1, episode 7
The case itself is an intriguing one. The team will need to deal with a murder. That would seem like nothing new, except that the identity of the murder victim is unknown. On top of that, this murder victim was afflicted with dementia. It’s an awful disease, and it’s sure to resonate with a few people as they investigate the case.
As for Franks and Gibbs first meeting, this is connected to Shannon and Kelly in some way. There’s a clip in the promo that sees Gibbs shouting at who we presume is Franks about how “you were supposed to protect her.” Who is her? Was Franks supposed to protect his wife or his daughter? What went wrong in the end?
There is still so much that we don’t know about Shannon and Kelly’s murders. We know Gibbs eventually got revenge, but how did it all play out? What led to him eventually getting enough details to get revenge? Even with that revenge, he never fully found peace until NCIS season 19, when he found himself in Alaska.
Take a look at the promo and synopsis for NCIS: Origins season 1, episode 7:
