The anticipated return of Eleanor Bishop on NCIS was everything fans have been waiting for. From a tense reunion with Agent Nick Torres (Wilmer Valderrama) to questions on whether she was, indeed, compromised, there was so much to grapple with as the team tried to determine if she could be trusted.
It did not take long for Agent Jessica Knight to tell both Torres and McGee about Ellie being wanted as a cyberterrorist. She had originally been working with a covert team, but they were compromised, and one of their teammates, Patricia, was believed to be killed. Now it looks like Ellie may be behind an attempt to steal files from the DoD.

The knowledge of what Ellie has possibly done hits Nick hard, and flashbacks show they had moved their relationship to the next step before she left. It’s clear Nick was deeply affected, and he had realized that there was a chance someone had broken into his home.
Ellie had broken in, needing to use his computer to download a file she needed to try to figure out who the mole was. She told Nick she wasn’t the mole, and now that another member of her team has turned up dead, she is worried about the last one, Jonathan.
Nick decides to trust her, and once Jessica shows up and they convince her to help Ellie, they sneak her into NCIS so she can get the real file she needs. After reuniting with Jimmy, Kasie, and McGee, she goes to MTAC with the latter. They share a bonding moment before she gets the file, only to turn around and stab McGee in the neck with a needle to knock him out.
It looks like she was actually compromised, but Nick is still determined to trust her. Data from MTAC showed she received a threatening text from an unknown individual. When Ellie arrived at her destination, she was knocked out with some sort of gas before she woke up to see Patricia herself.
Patricia had been the mole the whole time, and before she could harm Ellie, her former NCIS team arrived to save both her and Jonathan. The team had found out they were married, and Nick’s vest took a bullet for who he believed was her new love. However, they got married on paper so they could easily travel and work together for their jobs.
Ellie and Jonathan prepared to get back to their operation, but she made sure to say a proper goodbye to the team. She even asked Nick to come along. However, Nick told her his place was with McGee and Knight, which she understood. They had a sweet goodbye before Ellie left once again.
It was great to see Ellie on our screens again, and we hope she will come back again later on. The chemistry between Nick and Ellie was still palpable, and it would be great to see them get a happy ending, if that is in the cards.
NCIS airs Tuesdays on CBS at 8/7c.
