NCIS: Sydney is off the air for the rest of March 2025 (but it's not a bad thing)

There's a small break in the Friday schedule on CBS. NCIS: Sydney will not air any more new episodes in March 2025.
“Hell Weak” – The suspected suicide of a former U.S. Navy SEAL leads NCIS: Sydney to a wellness retreat to investigate a group of his fellow former SEAL buddies, on NCIS: SYDNEY, Friday, March 14 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network, and streaming on Paramount+ (live and on demand for Paramount+ with SHOWTIME subscribers, or on demand for Paramount+ Essential subscribers the day after the episode airs)*. L-R: Mavournee Hazel as Forensic Pathologist Bluebird 'Blue' Gleeson, Olivia

There is some bad news for crime drama fans on Fridays right now. NCIS: Sydney season 2 will not air any more episodes this month.

The break is a planned one, but that doesn’t take away from the annoyance of it. We would all love nothing more than to curl up with another cast for the joint task force to work out. In some good news, the break isn’t a signal that there is bad news for the Friday night drama.

NCIS: Sydney will make way for March Madness

The second half of March tends to be taken over by basketball. That’s certainly the case for CBS on Thursday and Friday nights. The entire schedule is off the air so that CBS can air the March Madness college games. This is something that we should be used to by now considering how often it’s happened!

While there are no new episodes, there is a way to keep up with past episodes of the series. You can catch all previous episodes on Paramount+ right now. This is the only place to watch episodes for now, as CBS can’t air reruns at the same time as the basketball games.

This isn’t bad news for the future of the series. NCIS: Sydney has already been renewed for a third season, which is expected to arrive in early 2026 based on when previous seasons have been scheduled.

Shucked
“Shucked” – When a petty officer is found murdered and frozen, it leads the team into a twisted underworld of seafood and sex trafficking, on NCIS: SYDNEY, Friday, March 7 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network, and streaming on Paramount+ (live and on demand for Paramount+ with SHOWTIME subscribers, or on demand for Paramount+ Essential subscribers the day after the episode airs)*. L-R: Sean Sagar as Special Agent DeShawn Jackson and Tuuli Narkle as AFP Liaison Officer Constable

When will NCIS: Sydney return with new episodes?

The break is for the whole of March, at the very least. There’s a likely chance that the first Friday in April will also see a game. March Madness officially runs until April 7, 2025. However, CBS doesn’t have a schedule that goes that far up at the time of writing this, and the return date hasn’t been confirmed.

We’re looking at Friday, April 11 as the return date for the series. We’ll be sure to keep an eye on things so you don’t need to.

NCIS: Sydney is available to stream on Paramount+.
