There is some disappointing news for FBI: Most Wanted fans. There isn’t a new episode of the series on tonight, Tuesday, March 4.

FBI Night is taking a night off. This isn’t anything to worry about with the shows just yet, but it is still disappointing. We can blame it on politics.

Why isn’t there a new episode of FBI: Most Wanted on tonight?

The lack of episode is due to the Presidential Address to the Joint Session of Congress. All Big 4 networks will air news specials for the address, and they will take up the last two hours of the primetime block. While this could have meant a new episode of FBI for CBS, the network wants to keep all three of the FBI shows in line with episode number. After all, they all have the same episode count this season.

Instead, CBS will start with a new episode of The Price Is Right At Night and then run into the news special. It makes the most sense since the night is a write-off for the majority of scripted content.

Moving On
“Moving On” – The Fugitive Task Force investigates a series of deadly fires involving the descendants of those who caused the infamous 1985 MOVE bombing in Philadelphia. Meanwhile, Nina’s sister turns to her in a time of need, on FBI: MOST WANTED, Tuesday, Jan. 28 (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network, and streaming on Paramount+ (live and on demand for Paramount+ with SHOWTIME subscribers, or on demand for Paramount+ Essential subscribers the day after the episode airs)*.

When will FBI: Most Wanted return with new episodes?

There is some good news, though. The break is a short one, with FBI: Most Wanted returning with new episodes on Tuesday, March 11. There are no details about the episode at the time of writing this.

This break is a good thing in the long-term. There was always going to be the need for a break here and there in the schedule. There are more weeks to fill than there are episodes available, and that means the networks tend to put on an on-off schedule. It gets annoying, but at least having an episode pre-empted due to something else happening makes us feel a little better.

There should be a few new episodes in a row again before potentially another break sometime at the end of March or beginning of April. CBS isn’t too upfront about where the breaks arrive, so it’s hard to make a call right now.

FBI: Most Wanted is available to stream on Paramount+.
