Is a new episode of The Irrational on tonight? (March 4, 2025)

There is no doubt that we're ready to see what's next for Alec and the team in The Irrational.

We are ready to be hit with more behavioral science. The bad news is The Irrational isn’t new tonight, Tuesday, March 4.

Most of the NBC schedule is off tonight. Deal or No Deal is the only show that will air new, and that’s at an earlier time than normal. This is all because of a big news special that’s happening tonight.

Why isn’t The Irrational on tonight?

Tuesday, March 4 marks when the President of the United States will address Congress. It’s a big moment, and it is generally newsworthy. All four of the big networks are taking a break in their regular schedule to air a news special dedicated to the address.

The news coverage starts at 9 p.m. ET. That’s why Deal or No Deal Island will be pushed to an hour earlier. However, it’s also why we won’t even get a rerun of The Irrational tonight.

This is sometimes a good thing. There are more week to May than there are episodes available. Breaks in the schedule like this allow for more time between episodes without just a standard rerun.

What to expect in The Irrational season 2, episode 16

Alec has just come off the back of dealing with a psychopath. He was able to figure out who the serial killer was and protect himself and Simon at the same time. Throughout all of that, he offered Simon (and us) some words of advice. We all shows signs of psychopathy, but empathy and compassion are what make us different.

NBC has given us a look at what to except when the show returns, and it’s a story that involves space. When an astronaut is trapped in space, it’s all hands on deck to figure out the problem. This means sending a pair of astronauts up to space to collected the trapped one, but is it safe to do? When there’s an accident within the training, it suggests that the life of one is not worth the life of others. This is a little like that experiment of whether you’d save a sibling or five strangers.

The Irrational is available to stream on Peacock to at least watch an episode tonight.
