With the way the previous episode ended, we would love more from 911: Lone Star. There is some bad news for tonight, Monday, Dec. 9.
The bad news is that there isn’t a new episode of 911: Lone Star on tonight. This won’t be that surprising when you remember that the previous episode was marketed as the fall finale.
In some good news, the show is coming back. We do have a little bit of bad news within that, though.
Why isn’t there a new episode of 911: Lone Star on tonight?
The show is now in its winter break. This is very normal for a series, and we’re seeing a lot of shows take some time off starting this week. Other shows, including fellow Monday night FOX drama Rescue: Hi-Surf, went off the air for the season a little earlier.
This winter break is important for a couple of reasons. For a lot of shows, it’s to make sure that there is time to get ahead with filming. The cast and crew take time off during the holiday period, which means there would be a need for a break later in the new year if the break wasn’t taken now.
911: Lone Star has the episodes filmed, though. There are only three episodes left. So, with that in mind, this break is for the other reason. The linear ratings take a hit during this time of year, as people spend more time out of the house or want to watch movies with family and friends. The networks won’t want to run the risk of a drop in the linear ratings.
When will 911: Lone Star return with new episodes?
In some good news, there will be a new episode soon. FOX will return with new episodes on Monday, Jan. 20.
Now for the bad news. As mentioned, there are only three episodes left. The 911: Lone Star series finale is set to air on Monday, Feb. 3. This is a single episode, as well. It means there are only 12 episodes in the series.
911: Lone Star is back on Monday, Jan. 20 at 8/7c on FOX. Catch up on the series on Hulu.
