There is some bad news for FBI fans. The series is taking some time off, and that means there isn’t a new episode of the series on tonight, Tuesday, Dec. 24.
When you consider the time of year, this won’t be surprising. We’re hitting Christmas, and we know that the broadcast networks take the more traditionally American times of year off. That’s not all; though. The show is on a rather lengthy break compared to previous ones we’ve had.
When will FBI season 7 return with new episodes?
The series is on its winter break. As we previously mentioned, FBI season 7, episode 8 was the last episode of 2024. Networks take this time of year off to help with the scheduling of episodes throughout the nine months of the regular TV season and due to the linear ratings taking a dip.
In some good news, the networks have announced their January return dates. CBS is waiting until the end of the month, but that’s because the shows didn’t go on a break until the end of 2024 rather than in November like other networks. So, the break is actually around about the same length.
We’ll get FBI season 7 back on Tuesday, Jan. 28. It will kick off Tuesday nights as normal.
FBI season 8 is officially happening
This is the time of year when we also start looking at renewals. Will our favorite shows land new seasons, or will we have to say goodbye to our favorite characters? FBI is coming back for season 8.
When CBS renewed the series for season 7, it came with the exciting news that we would get through to season 9. Yes, FBI was renewed for three seasons, so we don’t have to worry too much about the show for a while. Could this mean the show ends with season 9? Well, maybe, but we’ll have to wait and see what the network is like at that point.
For now, we have nothing to worry about with the flagship FBI series.
