Are you getting ready for a night of NCIS? There’s some bad news tonight, Monday, Nov. 18.

The long-running crime drama is taking a night off tonight, Monday, Nov. 18. There isn’t going to be a new episode on, but there will be a rerun tonight. We’re heading back to season 21 for tonight. We’ll get to see “Heartless” again.

This episode saw the team look into the kidnapping and death of a famous heart surgeon. Why would someone want to kill a heart surgeon? Was this linked to some sort of revenge because a person thought the heart surgeon was responsible for the death of a patient? Or was there something bigger going on?

When will NCIS return with new episodes on CBS?

It’s not clear why CBS is taking a night off from new episodes tonight. It’s highly likely that this is for the schedule. We see networks take time off here and there to space out the 20-something episodes over the course of nine months.

The whole Monday night line-up is taking a night off. This is normal when it comes to schedule decisions like this.

The good news is that it is only a one-week break. We’ll get to see the series return on Monday, Nov. 25.

It won’t be long until CBS goes on another break, and this will be all shows for a few weeks. We’re getting closer and closer to fall finales. This is likely to be during the beginning or middle of December.

The bad news is we don’t have a clue what to expect in the new episode at the time of writing this. The previous episode gave us a great look at what happens when a spy ages and brought us back to some NCIS fun, and we’re hoping to see it continue in the new episode.

NCIS airs Mondays at 9/8c on CBS. Catch up the following day on Paramount+.
