There is some bad news for The Equalizer fans. The show is taking a week off tonight, Sunday, Nov. 10.
It’s not 100% clear why the show is taking a night off. After all, Tracker still gets to air a new episode. It could be linked to the football lineup and the 60 Minute episode being 90 minutes long.
Tracker doesn’t get to air until 9 p.m. ET/PT tonight. That’s going to push The Equalizer to the 10 p.m. ET/PT timeslot, and we know that CBS isn’t quite happy with airing shows so late on a Sunday night. Not when they’re supposed to air an hour earlier. That’s why there hasn’t been a third drama of the night this fall.
So, CBS may have opted to just pre-empt the episode to avoid it being hit with lower linear ratings because of such a late timeslot.
When will The Equalizer return with new episodes?
The promo for The Equalizer season 5, episode 4 did warn us of this break. It also made it clear that it was just a one-week break. The new episode will air on Sunday, Nov. 17.
We also get an idea of what to expect, and this is an episode that involves a major threat to the United States. There are terrorists planning an attack that would wipe out all of the country’s defense systems. However, the person doing the hacking into the systems isn’t actually the criminal. He’s a victim.
The hacker is being forced to do it by other criminals. Robyn and co. will need to get to the bottom of who the real culprits are, and they’ll need to find a way to protect the young hacker. Maybe she can help get the hacker a job within the FBI or the CIA where he can hack ethically and help people!
Meanwhile, Dante returns to town. He’s here to visit his father, but we’re hoping for a visit with Robyn at the same time!
