Many eyes have been on the return of our favorite shows. This feels like the first year that we can rely on a normal fall schedule, and ABC certainly set things up with the return of 911 Season 8 this fall.
The official premiere date is set for Thursday, Sept. 26. The episode will air at 8 p.m. ET/PT, kicking off a night of dramas that revolve around first responders and medical. The new series Dr. Odyssey and then Grey’s Anatomy will follow.
Yes, this is still happening. While there is a Presidential Debate happening on ABC that same week, it’s not on the same night. It’s Wednesday’s shows that may need to be preempted.
What to expect in the 911 Season 8 premiere
There is a lot to cover in the premiere episode. The Season 7 finale left us on a major cliffhanger for a lot of characters.
For the 118 as a whole, there’s a new captain, and not a good one. Bobby retired, only to change his mind. It was too late to keep his position, though, and Hen and Chimney’s former captain has come in. This man has definitely not changed!
Meanwhile, Hen has her own personal situation to deal with. Thanks to a woman in a powerful position looking for revenge, Hen and Karen lost their ability to adopt and even foster more children. The two will need to prove that the accusations against Hen are in retaliation for the death of the son of a powerful woman. This will hopefully lead to a takedown in politics, but it is sure to take the fight out of Hen and Karen for a while.
There is always some sort of big episode in a season. Will this one have something to do with bees? That seems to be the case. Just take a look at the tease from thace 911 socials:
