Not all deaths are what they initially seem, and that’s something Accident, Suicide, or Murder? has given us a look at. The Season 5A finale is almost here, and we have a sneak peek that gives us a look at the buildup to the mystery.

This case seems pretty cut and dry. A man is found hanging from a tree with his hands bound behind his back. That’s a tell-tale sign of murder. The question is who did it? The police and FBI need to look into the cast to see if it’s a case of retribution or if there is something else.

The victim worked for the government, happy with the job that he did. Working in Laurel County was a dream. He was happy going door-to-door, and nobody minded that he would turn up. It all changed when he went to work in Clay County.

Clay County was known for its drugs and criminal gangs. People didn’t like anyone coming to their door, especially when they worked for the government, even if it was just as a census worker. It got so scary that he bought a gun and got his conceal and carry license, after never having a gun in the house.

There was an inherent risk being a census worker. As detectives share in the sneak peek, a census worker could knock on the door of someone involved in criminal activity, and it looks like that could have happened in this case.
