A search for Benjamin Franklin in Alert: Missing Persons Unit Season 2, Episode 2? (Preview)

The new season of Alert: Missing Persons Unit has started. That first episode did not disappoint, and now we’re excited to see what’s to come in the new season.

The show has moved to a new location. This has meant a new chief coming in, who immediately made it clear that he doesn’t respect others’ beliefs that don’t even hinder the case. It looks like the show is trying to scale back some of Kemi’s quirkiness, and I’m not sure if that’s a good thing.

That isn’t going to stop the overall quirkiness of the series. The second episode is titled “Benjamin Franklin.” Does this mean we’re heading to the past?

There are a couple of clips for the new episode in the promo, but this is mostly focused on things to come in the season as a whole. We get a glimpse of a young girl who has been kidnapped and is on camera. There are clips of Jason and Nikki sharing some sort of secret, and that leads to Mike questioning a few things.

It’s clear that there is a lot of drama to come. There are also a lot of people for the MPU to save.

Alert: Missing Persons Unit 2x02 synopsis

The synopsis is focused on the episode at hand. This is not a search for Franklin himself but a search for an aficionado who goes missing during one of his tours. The MPU jumps straight into gear to find him.

As all this goes on, we’ll get to see Jason and Mike attempt to work together as partners. They don’t really like each other. Well, it’s more like Mike doesn’t really like Jason. That’s not surprising considering Jason is Nikki’s ex and Jason can go in a little half-cocked at times, but Mike needs to find a way to deal with it.

We’ll also meet the new forensic scientist, played by Diana Bang. It looks like she’s a little too overeager to join in, and that’s not going to gel well with the majority of the team. This is the problem with being young and trying to prove yourself, though.
