We know that all good things must come to an end. That doesn’t mean we have to want that to happen, though. My Life Is Murder’s Season 4 finale certainly seemed to bring closure for Alexa and hint that it would be the end.
During the two-part season finale, Alexa faced a man from her past. Ray turned out to be a New Zealand man who was brought to Australia by his family when he was a baby. After he was involved in a serious crime, he was deported back to New Zealand.
What was that crime? Well, it turned out that he was the one involved in the hit and run that killed Alexa’s husband. While Ray turned up dead, Alexa didn’t kill him. She did speak to him before his death, though, gaining some much needed closure.
My Life Is Murder Season 4 ends on a high note
There was a bit of mirroring between Alexa and Iris. They both lost husbands that they loved dearly. While Iris’s husband died of prostate cancer and Alexa’s husband died in a hit and run, those deaths changed everything for the women.
Alexa managed to find a group of friends to help her deal with the loss of her husband. Iris didn’t really have that. She clung onto the women in the club, but she never really opened up to them and didn’t become friends with them. Alexa realized that had she not found the people she did, this is what she could have become.
The very end of the episode saw Alexa on the beach with Madison, Harry, and Reuben. There was a sweet moment where Alexa shared that she gained closure and was grateful for her friends. She didn’t say everything in true Alexa Crowe fashion, but everyone knew what she was trying to say and took that as the win it was. They are a family.
This ending certainly felt more like a series finale rather than a season finale. Alexa got the closure that she has always needed, and we can believe that everyone continues their journey solving crimes together. As much as I would love to see My Life Is Murder Season 5 happen, I can accept this as the end if needed.
