Annie has always been a bit of a hothead in Blue Lights Season 2. That’s not surprising considering her background, but it almost got her fired from the police service.

During Episode 5, she let her anger get the better of her. As Canning taunted her due to the morning selfie he’d seen that Shane took and shared, Annie punched him. This got her suspended, and it took Shane coming forward to share that Canning had called Annie a dog to help her get out of some trouble.

Annie did spend some time thinking about her impulsive nature. Becoming a cop wasn’t a dream. She saw a billboard and signed up that day. Everything she has done has been more of an impulsive need, and it’s something that she needs to change at times.

Will Annie tame her impulsive nature in Blue Lights Season 3?

In some great news, Blue Lights has been renewed for a third season. This opens the door for more character growth, and this series has already offered a lot of that. Annie is the one the third season needs to focus on.

At the end of the second season, it looked like she was learning from her mistakes. She turned down spending the night with Shane, opting to hang out with her friends instead. I’m glad to see that she didn’t run the risk of Shane taking another selfie like that. She should have been reprimanded for that in the first place! He seemed to get off lightly this season.

However, it’s not just her choice in men. She also needs to show growth when it comes to her impulsive nature. At the start of the second season, it looked like she had found a way to calm that, but then things happened to Grace that had her rethinking a few things. Hopefully, the events from the back half of Blue Lights Season 2 will be enough to get her to think before she acts, especially when it’s out of anger.
