Caution: This post contains major spoilers for FBI: Most Wanted Season 5, Episode 11

The promo had us worried. There is a moment at the very end that shows Chase shouting out for Barnes and then gunfire. Then Barnes goes down, and it looks like she’s been shot. Would she survive the episode, and if she did, what does that mean for her and Charlotte moving forward? Does it change anything in their lives?

Barnes’s life is on the line in FBI: Most Wanted

The episode promo made it clear that the criminal this week would target cops. This put the entire FBI team at risk. It was clear that this suspect didn’t discriminate among the cops. The person just wanted them gone.

And so, that put Remy and his team at risk. They were naturally going to go into a gunfight if they needed to. They all know that their jobs are risky. In the promo, we saw Barnes explain that with the job they know that they can kiss their kids goodbye at the start of the day and never see them again. It’s been a conversation that Chase and Scola have both had as well.

At one point, Barnes ran across the street as there was heavy gunfire. She was shot and went down, but what happened?

Did Barnes survive in FBI: Most Wanted Season 5, Episode 11?

We didn't have to wait until the end of the episode to get answers. Barnes was shot and the bullet hit her femoral artery, but Remy and co. got her to the hospital in time. She had surgery and made it through.

What does this mean for Barnes and Charlotte?

At the start of the episode, Charlotte said that she wanted a divorce and she wanted to take the children to another state. While Barnes wanted to fight for her marriage, she made it very clear that she would not allow her children to be taken from her.

Would the attack on Barnes change Charlotte's mind? She did turn up at the hospital, but she wasn't there right away or even for when Barnes woke up after surgery. Remy was there for her.

It wasn't clear if the two ended up having a conversation off-screen. It does sound like we'll end up seeing a custody battle between Charlotte and Barnes in FBI: Most Wanted Season 6. However, Barnes may decide that the children aare better off with Charlotte after this near-death experience just due to how dangerous her job is.
