Blue Bloods isn't on tonight, but we know when it will return (March 22)

Like other CBS dramas tonight, Friday, March 22, Blue Bloods is taking some time off. We do have a return date for the series.

Friday night dramas on CBS are going on a bit of a break. That includes Blue Bloods, which takes another break in its 14th season.

In some good news, we know when the show will return. In some bad news, we don’t even get to see a rerun tonight, Friday, March 22. The series is on a break due to sports.

The NCAA Men’s Basketball Championship is taking place. This is an annual event, and one more, CBS has the coverage. CBS will air the entire thing, and it is known as March Madness because it is so popular. It means Thursdays and Fridays are all about the sport right now. CBS can’t air two things at once.

When will Blue Bloods return with new episodes?

Now for when the show will be back. In some good news, the series is set to return on Friday, April 5. CBS did share some promos of upcoming shows, but Blue Bloods wasn’t part of that. It is possible that the episodes still need to get through the post-production process.

That’s okay, though. We still have time for some promotional material for the return of the show. CBS isn’t as heavy with promotional content for this show because it already has a loyal following. The linear ratings for the series have remained strong despite the minimal promotion, and that’s a testament to just how popular this show is.

We are still salty that the series will end with the 14th season. At least we know there will be more episodes after May. The remaining eight episodes of the season will air in fall 2024, allowing the show to go out with a bang.

For now, it’s all about Paramount+. This is where you can stream all episodes of the series, so pick your favorite and watch that as a rerun tonight.
