One of the downsides of watching British shows in North America is the wait. Blue Lights Season 2 has completed its run in the UK. Now it’s time for it to air in the U.S. and Canada.

The second season is certainly worth the wait. It picks up a year after the events of the first season finale, and there are plenty of times Gerry is mentioned and remembers. His death has shaped the lives of so many of the cops, even those who didn’t necessarily have moments with him in the first season.

While everyone took down the McIntyre gang, it was only a matter of time before another one would fill the void. Sure enough, that happens in the second season. This time, the cops are a little more used to each other, and they may find it’s easier to get to the bottom of the situation.

Blue Lights Season 2 release schedule

BritBox likes to release its originals on a weekly basis, and this series is no exception. Well, it’s sort of an exception. Instead of one episode a week, we’ll get two episodes per week.

There are six episodes in total. That means we’ll have watched all episodes before the month comes to a close. The finale is certainly worth the wait as well. Here’s the full release schedule for the season.

June 13: Episodes 1 and 2
June 20: Episodes 3 and 4
June 27: Episodes 5 and 6

What to expect in Blue Lights Season 2

The season picks up with us finding out where Grace, Stevie, Annie, Tommy, and the others are after the events of the first season. Tommy is off the fast-track after everything that happened with Gerry. Meanwhile, Stevie and Grace need to figure out if they can be together and work together at the same time.

This season is a chance to see them more in the action. They are a little more seasoned than they were in the first season, and that means they need to make some of the bigger decisions on calls. What happens when they end up with a few tough calls, and what happens when a new gang takes over the void the McIntyres left?
