It’s good news for most of Dick Wolf’s lineup on NBC. Five of the shows have been renewed, with Chicago PD on the list. There are six Dick Wolf shows on the network, though. Which one hasn’t been renewed?

This year was a tricky one for the Dick Wolf shows. Last year was the first once off the back of a multi-season renewal. With the strike action and the late starts, there were fears that some of the shows wouldn’t end up making it through.

Well, five of them definitely have. Despite the late starts, they remain top performers for the network.

Which Dick Wolf show hasn’t been renewed?

It’s easier to look at the Dick Wolf show that didn’t land a renewal yet. NBC decided not to go ahead with Law & Order: Organized Crime Season 5 just yet.

That doesn’t mean it’s canceled! This is a bubble show, as TVLine confirms.

All other shows have been renewed. That means we’re getting:

Law & Order: SVU Season 26
Law & Order Season 24
Chicago Fire
Season 13
Chicago PD Season 12
Chicago Med Season 10

When will Chicago PD and others return?

The five shows confirmed for renewal are likely to remain fall shows. There shouldn’t be a reason for a delayed start this year, which means we’re looking at September 2024 as the premiere months.

We also expect a return to full season orders. That doesn’t mean 22 episodes, though. Last year, NBC opted to bring the shows back for between 18 and 20 episodes, and not all episodes would have all cast members. The only show to have one cast member in all episodes was Law & Order: SVU because there is no series without Olivia Benson, and even NBC knows it.

The strike action caused a much shorter season, and there wasn’t as much of a need to take characters out for cost-saving measures. NBC may opt to do that this time, but there is no confirmation of that just yet.
