Trudy hasn't been around too much in Chicago PD, but she got a great moment in the most recent episode of Chicago Fire. Never underestimate her.

If there is one character we would love to see more of in the world of Chicago PD, it’s Trudy Platt. She is the sergeant you do not want to mess with.

While she hasn’t been in Chicago PD too much this season, she will get a storyline soon. However, it’s Chicago Fire where we got to see her in action at home. Mouch will learn to never underestimate his wife.

Mouch also needs to learn to tell Trudy things right away. At least everything worked out!

Chicago PD’s Trudy saves the day in Chicago Fire

The latest Chicago Fire episode saw Mouch save a woman with the paramedicine program. That led to her turning up at the firehouse. He had to figure out a way to get rid of her before she became a safety concern.

Well, she decided to turn up at Mouch’s house instead. Of course, by this point, Mouch was worried. He wanted to talk to Trudy in private, but she made it clear that she would cut the cake and he would entertain their guest. We should have known that Trudy had a plan and already sensed a rat.

She came back in to arrest the woman. It turned out she put razors in the cake, and Trudy was one step ahead of her. She’d had a colleague run her name. Mouch has never had a patient turn up at the house. Of course she was going to be suspicious.

Trudy has been on the job for a long time. She is smart, strong-willed, and observant. She knows when there is something going on, and we’ve seen her use those skills for good to encourage the members of Intelligence to take breaks. At the same time, she uses her skills for further good by keeping bad guys off the streets.

Next time, Mouch, just let her know immediately that there’s something iffy going on with a patient.
