Could Ellie Bishop return to save Torres in NCIS Season 21?

We know from the synopsis of the NCIS Season 21 premiere that Torres is going to need the team’s help. At the end of Season 20, he was last seen threatening the life of a man, putting his career on the line.

Well, it looks like he does something. It’s not clear if he does shoot and kill the man or not, but his career is definitely in trouble. The team will need to step in to help him, and they’re sure to do that when they find out this man did something to Torres’s family when he was younger.

There is a former team member we would love to see get involved. Is it possible that Ellie Bishop could come back?

Could Bishop use her skills to protect Torres in NCIS Season 21?

Bishop left at the end of Season 18 to follow a life in the shadows with Odette. After finding out what Ziva had been doing after faking her death, Bishop wanted to be a part of that. Over time, there were hints that things were going on, but nobody really questioned things until a case came up that made Bishop look like a traitor.

This had all been set up to allow Bishop to leave the team. She would leave disgraced, but it would allow her to go undercover and do the work she wanted to with Odette. Torres saw through it all and knew what Bishop was up to, trying to get her not to choose this path.

Is it possible that this path is what Torres needs, right now? Could she step in to help cover up some of the things that Torres did. Maybe she can work with the team to make sure his job is safe but he also gets the revenge he clearly wants and needs.

There is no confirmation that Emily Wickersham is returning to the show. It’s just fun to dream about this.
