There’s no doubt that the FBI three-way crossovers are popular. FBI: International kicked off well with its series premiere being the third episode in a three-way crossover with the other two shows. Fans were excited last season when we got another three-episode event.
Now eyes are on whether we’ll get another one. Is there a chance that a three-way crossover between the Dick Wolf shows could happen?
There isn’t any confirmation that this is going to happen just yet. However, we know that the three shows were quiet about it until a huge promotional push for it last year. So, we’re looking at the chances of it happening.
A three-way FBI crossover may not happen in 2024
We start with some bad news to start this. Due to the strike action throughout the summer, the three shows are shorter than originally planned. This could mean that there isn’t a crossover event that could work before May 2024. After all, the episodes that are available need to be spent on the individual show development.
However, two of the shows do film in New York, making it easy for a crossover between FBI and FBI: Most Wanted. It wouldn’t be too difficult to get one or two actors to go across to Europe to film with FBI: International.
Some smaller crossover moments are likely to happen, though. It’s not hard to have Jubal show up on the big screen for the Fly Team or for Isabel to show up to pass on a case to the Fugitive Task Force. They’ve happened in the past. With Shantel VanSanten now in FBI: Most Wanted, we could see some mini crossover moments between FBI and Most Wanted for Nina and Scola.
This doesn’t rule out crossovers in the 2024–2025 season, assuming all three shows are renewed. It could allow for crossover events in fall 2024.
The three FBI shows premiere on Tuesday, Feb. 13 starting at 8/7c on CBS. Catch up on the shows on Paramount+.
