We could still see more of Phoebe in The Irrational Season 2
Now that we have a premiere date for The Irrational Season 2, our eyes are on what’s in store for the various characters. In one case, it’s whether a character will return.
Phoebe was a wonderful and bubbly addition to the series in the first season. She and Rizwan allowed for more exposition when it came to “irrational rational” behavior. They were learning through Alec Mercer.
However, Phoebe decided that she needed to go for a different job. Worried about telling Alec at first, he soon set her at ease. In fact, he recommended her for the different job, understanding that she needed to stop putting her life in dangerous situations for her boss.
It’s not the end of the road for Phoebe in The Irrational
Arika Lisanne Mittman told TVLine that Phoebe’s exit isn’t necessarily a permanent one. Just because we see that Phoebe has gone onto pastures new doesn’t mean that she can’t stop in now and then. What’s to say that paths won’t cross?
Let’s just remember that the first season ended with the cliffhanger of Rose being abducted. Phoebe cares deeply about her boss, and she will want to be there for him as they help to find his girlfriend. Sure, she wanted to stay out of danger, but we all act irrationally rational in times of stress. It only makes sense that she would come back to help with this.
Maybe she could even find her work with her new boss boring. She may miss the excitement of Alec’s work, and that could pull her back into working with him. It’s not that easy to step back into a job, but it would all depend on whether Alec had filled her position or not.
There is also the chance that she could just come into help with cases here and there. She and Rizwan had a great relationship, and surely, she’d be the one he’d call when he needed someone to talk something through with.
There are many ways Phoebe could come back into the series. Molly Kunz hasn’t technically left the series according to casting news, which suggests she’s still a series regular.
