5. Veronica Mars

Let’s start with the high school PI. Kristen Bell made a name for herself as the titular character, the daughter of a PI who uses the skills she’s learned from him to her advantage.

Veronica used to be the popular girl in school. However, a series of family traumas and events led to her becoming an outcast, and she took on that role in style with her snarky and sarcastic sense of humor.

Of course, Neptune, California isn’t a quiet town. There’s always something dangerous and suspicious going on, and she helps her PI father dig into the rich and famous to get to the bottom of the cases. All the while, she just wants to survive high school.
