Money Heist’s Berlin

One of Netflix’s biggest international hits has been Money Heist. The Spanish series showcases a seemingly perfect heist that goes wildly off the rails and has become a huge phenomenon. Now, the popular character of Andrés de Fonollosa, aka “Berlin” (Pedro Alonso), is getting his own prequel spin-off.

Set years before the original show, the series follows Andres setting up a huge jewel heist in Paris. It doesn’t take long for his “perfect” plan to go off the rails as Berlin has to handle the cops and his own gang. If it’s half as fun as the original Money Heist, this is going to be a blast. 

Money Heist’s Berlin is now streaming on Netflix. 

Broadchurch

The free streamer Tubi has been adding some good shows, and the 2013-17 British drama Broadchurch is one of the best. Doctor Who star David Tennant is the newly promoted detective inspector of a small coastal town whose first day is marked by the discovery of a young boy’s body. The investigation leads to a discovery that could break the town, with the following seasons showing darker mysteries.

The cast is filled with now-famous faces like future Doctor Who Jodie Whitaker, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, and, of course, Oscar-winner Olivia Colman as Tennant’s partner who has a meaty scene in the first season finale. All three seasons can be binged for one of the UK’s biggest-ever crime hits and still rocks you hard.
