Did the Fly Team find Forrester and his mom in the FBI: International Season 3 finale?
Despite Luke Kleintank’s last episode being back on Tuesday, May 7, the previous two episodes have been all about a search for his character, Forrester. Did the Fly Team find him before the FBI: International Season 3 finale came to an end?
The Fly Team had found a link between Forrester getting a message, his mom, and the Russians. They knew that Forrester had likely gone dark to find his mom, who they believed was being held by Russians in Oslo who wanted one of their own back. The Russians believed they had Forrester’s mom.
Getting a picture, Vo realized that it wasn’t Forrester’s mom at all. However, she was connected to Forrester’s mom. Would it lead to the Fly Team getting answers?
Vo and the Fly Team learn what happened to Forrester in the FBI: International Season 3 finale
In some good news, the team learned what happened. Forrester had found out that his mom and another American were being held prisoners. Forrester could only get one of them out, and he chose his mom. Tess had a cypher tattooed on her wrist, but she had no idea what that cypher was. That was perfect as she couldn’t give that information to her captors. All Forrester knew was that his team would come after Forrester, and that would lead them to Tess so she would be safe.
It's exactly what happened, although there was a hiccup with Oslo not wanting the FBI in the city. Tess saved the day when Raines saw the tattoo and shared that Cassidy had put the tattoo on her. Amanda realized it was the password to the dossier, which helped get the answers needed to get their freedom.
What about Forrester, though? Well, he got away with his mom. Tess had no idea where, but they are free.
The Fly Team find Forrester and his mom in the final moments
Amanda did get a ping from traffic cameras. She managed to find Forrester and his mom in the car in the FBI: International Season 3 finale. Raines noted that they seemed to be heading toward Alaska. Vo knew that this had to be reported, but she left it up to Lange. He was leading the show.
Lange couldn’t do it. He decided that Forrester and his mom deserved to have some time together. Maybe they’d eventually get caught, but he wouldn’t be the reason for that. So, he told Amanda to scrub the footage and leave them be.
It seems odd to think that Forrester won’t be back, but the way he was written out was perfect. He gets to be with his mom, even if he couldn’t clear her name fully. I just feel for Tank, who won’t understand where his human is. But at least he’s surrounded by other humans who adore him, as Smitty proved the second she saw him in the finale.
