Did Tyler's mention of Dr. Mengele hint the Gold Star creator will get away in Criminal Minds: Evolution?

The BAU is busy trying to figure out who created the Gold Star program in Criminal Minds: Evolution. Tyler likened the Gold Star creator to Dr. Mengele, which could hint the fate for the creator.

Criminal Minds: Evolution has brought Tyler more and more into the story. He does have some excellent skills and knowledge to help the BAU find the Gold Star creator. Sometimes, having a fresh set of eyes and a different brain can help.

One thing Tyler may have done is foreshadow what will happen to the Gold Star creator. This isn’t likely considering TV loves to wrap everything up in a neat bow, but we could see that the Gold Star creator gets away with it.

Tyler likened the Gold Star creator to Dr. Mengele in Criminal Minds: Evolution

If you’ve never heard of Dr. Mengele, then you mya have missed the potential foreshadowing. Dr. Mengele was also known as the Angel of Death. He was an SS officer in World War II, and best known for his deplorable experiments in the concentration camps.

Mengele would select those who were to die in the gas chambers. He would do experiments on prisoners, especially on twins. There were a few other Nazi doctors who did this, but Mengele has always been the most prolific, and he is one who got away.

Mengele fled to Argentina after the war to avoid being convicted of his war crimes. He continually fled Nazi hunters and more to avoid arrest. Death came to him in the form of a heart attack while swimming. He drowned, and he was buried under a false name.

Tyler likened the Nazi to the Gold Star creator. While Mengele did experiments on people, the Gold Star creator has done his own experiment to turn children into serial killers.

Could the Gold Star creator get away with it in Criminal Minds

If we look at how Mengele died, it’s possible that Criminal Minds: Evolution was offering us some foreshadowing. Is it possible that the Gold Star creator will get away with it? Will this person continually go on the run and avoid capture for the rest of his or her life?

I don’t see that happening considering it’s Criminal Minds. We have seen UnSubs get away with it for a while. We’ve seen them go on the run and avoid detection for as long as possible. Eventually, the BAU has always found them. TV needs these moments of closure, even though it doesn’t happen in real life. However, it would be interesting to see Gold Star continue to be a threat for the BAU for the third season.
