FBI: International wasted no time in introducing us to Special Agent Amanda Tate. While we can see her work ethic, we also have a bit of a backstory for her. We’ll get more in the coming episodes.
Amanda Tate is a mom. However, she isn’t with her daughter’s father. It turns out that there is a custody battle happening, and that’s about to come to a head.
TVLine shared the tease thanks to a question from a fan. All EP Matt Olmstead shared was that Tate’s ex is Hungarian, and the two have been in some sort of custody battle that is about to come to a head.
When will we learn more about Tate in FBI: International?
It’s hard to say when that is going to happen, though. After all, the show has currently been dealing with Powell, who made it clear that he wasn’t a good fit for the team. The team is also dealing with the changes, including a new HQ, a new support team working with them, and the loss of Jamie Kellett.
The next episode could be perfect for bringing in more about Tate’s family life. The episode will focus on the kidnapping of an American couple’s son. It looks like the mafia is involved in this. Is it possible that Tate could see some similarities in her daughter’s custody battle within the case, or will she be able to connect with the family due to her own experiences?
With Olmstead saying that the case comes to a head, it could change a lot for Tate. She could end up looking after her daughter full-time, which could mean that we see another balance of parenting and work. At the same time, she could lose custody of her daughter, which could lead to some personal storylines as she figures out if her job is worth it. I’m excited to see the way this storyline plays out.
FBI: International airs Tuesdays at 9/8c on CBS.
