Shantel VanSanten teased what to expect on the FBI: Most Wanted Season 5 finale. There could be a wedding!
With weeks to go until the finale, we were never going to get any idea of the case to expect. Nor will we get teases of major, catastrophic moments for any of the members of the team. We do get a small tease of a personal storyline.
VanSanten, who plays Nina Chase on the series, teased that there s “big day.” She also noted that “we’ll be lucky if it rains.” It certainly hinted that there are wedding bells in the finale.
"Let’s just say it’s going to be a big day…. What else can I hint? We’ll be lucky if it rains, because I hear it’s good luck if it rains on certain big days."
Nina and Scola are likely getting married in the FBI: Most Wanted Season 5 finale
It would make a lot of sense for Nina and Scola to be the ones getting married in the FBI: Most Wanted Season 5 finale. The two are figuring out parenting, especially as Nina is constantly on the go with her position in the Fugitive Task Force.
The two ended up going undercover together during a recent look at their lives together. They had to pretend to be a married couple, and they certainly pulled off the performance well.
The two had a lot of important discussions in the two-part crossover, as well. We got to see Scola share his thoughts about whether it was fair on Dougie to have two parents in high-risk jobs. There was a chance to see why Nina is a little closed off to her son after wanting this pregnancy so much.
So, if it’s a traditional wedding, it certainly makes the most sense for the two of them to get married.
Could Barnes and Charlotte renew their vows?
Another option is Barnes and Charlotte, who are going through a tricky phase at the moment. The two are career driven, with Barnes more career driven than Charlotte. They both do important work, and they are struggling to find time for each other with their need to work and help people.
This has come to a head with Charlotte telling Barnes that she’s met someone. However, Charlotte was willing to do marriage counselling. Sadly, Barnes put her work first again, and it’s driving another wedge between the two of them.
Could we end up with some good news before the end of the season? Could they find a way to make things work? I think it’s too early for the two to decide they will renew their vows. They need some time together to see if they really can put each other first when needed.
FBI: Most Wanted airs Tuesdays at 10/9c on CBS.
