The 2023–2024 TV season was vastly different to others due to the strike action throughout the summer of 2023. It meant that some shows that were able to premiere in the fall came to an end sooner than they usually would. Found was one of them.
The first season had just 13 episodes, wrapping in January 2024 rather than getting a May finale date. That means the wait for Found Season 2 has been longer than we’d like. The good news is the wait is close to being over.
Not only has NBC confirmed that Found Season 2 will premiere in the fall, but NBC has also confirmed premiere dates. We know when in the fall we’ll see Gabi and the team return, but we have to wait until October.
Found Season 2 premiere date confirmed
Found Season 2 will officially premiere on Thursday, Oct. 3. The episode will air at 10 p.m. ET/PT, following new episodes of Law & Order and Law & Order: SVU.
Yes, this is a change of night. It could be a good thing for the series as it follows two powerhouses for the network. This was also the original timeslot intended for the 2023–2024 season. It was meant to take the Law & Order: Organized Crime timeslot last fall with Organized Crime always planned for a midseason release. Things changed with the strike action and the new series was moved to Tuesday nights instead.
The second season is set to pick up off the back of that Season 1 cliffhanger. Sir is free, and he is hiding in Lacey’s house. Gabi has had to come clean about holding Sir hostage in her basement to the team, and that’s caused a loss of trust and pain. Lacey wouldn’t answer Gabi’s calls as Gabi realized that Sir was coming after her, which means Sir has an opening to attack his former victim.
Meanwhile, Gabi will now need to face the consequences of her actions. It won’t be long before Trent learns the truth about Sir once being in Gabi’s basement. Not only did she break the law by abducting him, but now Sir needs to be captured once more.
