Javi became the MVP in the Snowpiercer penultimate episode

If it wasn’t for Javi, everyone in New Eden would be dead. It makes him the MVP of Snowpiercer Season 4, Episode 9.

The episode saw everyone in New Eden fight for the town’s survival. Nima wants Big Alice to be able to carry out his plan to save the world. The problem for New Eden is that Big Alice powers the town. The town would only last a few weeks without the engine.

On top of that, Nima’s plan is heavily flawed. It will lead to the complete destruction of the Earth. So, of course, everyone who wants to live in the world and believes Melanie’s data will want to stop Nima.

Nima had a plan to take out New Eden from the start in Snowpiercer

Nima knew that a lot of people would work to save New Eden, and that included Melanie. However, he needed Melanie to retrofit the trains. The Animal Squad planted bombs around New Eden to bury the town, threatening destruction if Melanie didn’t join in.

Javi and co. had already tried to move the bombs. That led to Javi almost being killed. However, he learned from that mistake, and he was able to move one of the bombs to the center of town. The explosion wasn’t enough to destroy the town, but it was enough to cause problems for Nima’s soldiers.

That wasn’t all he did, though. He was able to set up jammers around the town, blocking Nima from being able to remote detonate the bombs. He takes MVP status from Ruth right now.

As Nima got away with Snowpiercer and Big Alice (but with a few stowaways in the Tail), New Eden has been left to survive another day. Now he’ll need to make sure the town can survive with just the generators while Layton and others get Big Alice back.

Without him, New Eden would be under snow.
