Jesse Lee Soffer's role in FBI: International Season 4 confirmed
Back in June, we learned that Jesse Lee Soffer was joining the cast of FBI: International Season 4. Now we have more details of the role.
One thing we knew when Soffer was announced as joining the series was that he wouldn’t reprise the role of Jay Halstead. While Chicago PD and FBI: International are in the same universe, Soffer was coming in as a new character.
Colin Donnell had already set the tone for this. Despite playing Dr. Connor Rhodes in Chicago Med, Donnell came in as Agent Brian Lange in FBI: International Season 3. So, it means that more people who have left other One Chicago shows can follow suite.
Jesse Lee Soffer is the new head of the Fly Team in FBI: International Season 4
TVLine reports that Soffer will come into the series as Supervisory Special Agent Wesley “Wes” Mitchell. Mitchell is described as being “charming and rakish.” He has “impeccable instincts and unconventional tactics.” One thing that he always wants to achieve is justice, and he will do that in any means necessary.
As he is coming in as “Supervisory Special Agent,” it means that he is likely the new head of the Fly Team. This could cause some problems with the current team. Cameron Vo has stepped up as the leader of the Fly Team since Forrester left, and she has the respect of Raines and others. However, she is still relatively new, and she had only just recently been upped to second-in-command. It makes sense to bring in someone new.
We’re sure to see some head-butting though while everyone gets used to each other. One of the issues with a new team member is that they have their own personality. When it comes to a new leader, they have their own way of doing things. It doesn’t mean that they’re wrong, but it does mean that everyone has to get used to it.
